This impressive work brings together technical knowledge relating to the British Army engaged in the campaign in north-western Europe from 6 June 1944 to 8 May 1945. From the beaches of Normandy to the shores of the Baltic Sea, these British soldiers, alongside their brothers in arms from the Allied forces, liberated Europe. The first part describes headgear, insignia, uniforms and equipment, while focusing on the organisation of the units. Individual and collective weaponry, heavy equipment, vehicles with their markings and camouflage, and the organisation of the forces are the subject of the second part.
