The Flying Tigers T-Shirt

The Flying Tigers was the nickname given to a squadron of American pilots, officially known as the 1st American Volunteer Group (AVG).

Based in China during the Second World War, the squadron took part in the Second Sino-Japanese War and the Burma Campaign, amongst other engagements.

It was disbanded in 1942 and its personnel were incorporated into the United States Army Air Forces (USAAF), with whom they continued to serve for the remainder of the war.
