To mark the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings, the Liberation and Victory (1944-1945), the Historical Service of the Ministry of Defence presents this book showcasing documents from its archives. These pages showcase the treasures of the SHD in Vincennes, as well as its sites in the provinces: Brest, Caen, Châtellerault, Cherbourg, Lorient, Pau, Rochefort and Toulon. With a rich selection of previously unpublished archives, this catalogue presents these documents through notes written by SHD scientific staff.
